Ministry of Agriculture and Food - Regional Extension Program

Environment and Climate Regional Guidebooks

The regional guidebooks are a resource for producers, on-the ground researchers, and consultants to reflect on the climate issues challenging environmental sustainability and local farm businesses and food production. The Regional Extension Program is producer driven. Input from producers through the Ministry of Agriculture and Food's Regional Extension Committees and regional producer engagement sessions will inform the long-term delivery of extension activities. To learn more, visit the program webpage.

These guidebooks are draft versions while producer engagement is ongoing. Final version will be uploaded to the Ministry’s program webpage once complete.

If you have input to share on the priority areas for the region you farm in, please provide your input digitally via this survey.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food has contracted VGN Resources Group, Inc. (VGN) to enhance the delivery of the Regional Extension Program, including supporting engagement with producers in November 2023 to inform the development of extension projects for 2024-2025.
